Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting as a reporter at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She then worked as an anchor in the morning and a reporter at WCBD TV. Her reporting on the streets of Charleston about the police's leniency toward DUI cases has led to an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division investigating these instances. The Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell an award for the Best Report of the year Award for all South Carolina media. O'Dell then worked for NBC's Miami-based station WTVJ-TV as a investigative reporter prior to joining Access Hollywood in the role of weekend co-anchor. O'Dell's current role as host for Access Hollywood is complemented by her contributions to NBC News Today, Dateline NBC as well as NBC News.
